GO TO HIM

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

God is able to accomplish, provide, help, save, keep, subdue…He is able to do what you can’t. He already has a plan. God’s not bewildered. Go to Him. - Lucado

Go to Him.

Isn’t it remarkable how we go to others when we don’t know?

Drain busted, go to the plumber.

AC on the fritz, call the HVAC specialist.

Or in our house something goes a little haywire. we call “GABLE”

(that is our Mr. Fix-it and my father-in-law)

But I love what this little quote reminds today.

GOD is ABLE!  GO TO HIM!

Are you up against something that seems insurmountable?  

GOD can accomplish that task and more!

Uncertain about provision?  

GOD WILL provide!

Matthew 6:31-32 (ESV)

Therefore, do not be anxious…your heavenly Father knows...

Need help?

Need protection?

Need a way out?

GO to Him.

God will make a way 

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way…

I know the message seems a little too elementary, a little too simple today.  But the truth of the matter is that we will OFTEN forget that GOD is not the least bit BEWILDERED by our circumstances.  I do believe he sometimes allows them because we HAVE NOT chosen to GO to Him for guidance, direction or insight and we end up in some sticky wickets as a result.

That is why we NEED to GO to Him.

GOD does have a plan for us.  He does.

Yet, it is a PLAN and not a MANDATE.  He has architected what is best for us and has teed it up for us to seek Him for it and to follow it.

  

However, I will be the first to admit, I often go “elsewhere” for my help instead of remembering…My help comes from the Lord - Psalm 121:1 (ESV)

So let’s both choose to GO to HIM first today.

I will freely confess that I have so much confusion in my life right now, so much uncertainty that I can’t begin to think about sorting it out on my own or even trusting my old pal GOOGLE to save me.  My world and mind are awash in mixed messages and things are QUITE bewildering.

Thank GOD He is not bewildered in any way shape or form as the old cliché goes.  

So I am going to Him.
