TREMBLY TRUST

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

For we live by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

Those words seem simple enough.

However, of late I am learning that fleshing out those words, living them, that simple concept, can be a much tougher assignment than imagined.

It asks of me more than I sometimes feel I am capable of giving.
I mean think about it.

Walking by FAITH and NOT sight implies that we must be willing to give up any semblance of control of our lives.  We must be willing to “let go and let GOD” like the AA/NA and other recovery folks often say.

It is a tenuous proposition at best.

Yet what is promised when we do?
A journey of tremendous blessing and reward.
A journey with the unmitigated potential to reach beyond our expectations or vision (Ephesians 3:20).
A journey designed by GOD to experience Him as he was meant to be: in all his fullness and grace.
A journey that requires us to go to places we do not know, ones that God will reveal as we walk in obedience.

So why when all of that amazing promise and potential is present and for the claiming, our FAITH still wavers; our trust trembles.

Because…
“Far too often, we want to see miles beyond where we are standing. The reason living life for Christ is a walk of faith is because this is what we are called to do. Trust Him for today and tomorrow and all the days that will follow.” ― Charles F. Stanley

We forget that:
God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, (so) what do you think he will do for you? It’s just grass—one day it’s alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely he will do much more for you. Matthew 6:30-31 (ERV)

Therefore, don’t be like me today suffering from some smallish faith; from “trembly” trust.  Cling to the promises and peace that come with a walk of faith!
Join GOD on the journey!
GOD has us and has amazing things in store for us!
And yes, while we can’t see them, we know they are there!

He blesses us with kindness and honor. The Lord freely gives every good thing to those who do what is right. Psalm 84:11 (ERV)

And that starts with walking in faith!

Remember:
“A little faith will bring your soul to heaven; a great faith will bring heaven to your soul.” ― Charles Haddon Spurgeon

I love you all…
