INTIMACY

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“Become a man or woman of prayer...Let your heart and mind be kept close to the principal calling of your life, which is to hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness...Let the thoughts and intents of your HEART be shaped and guided by time spent in His presence.” ― Ravi Zacharias

In other words, seek INTIMACY with the Father.
Let your THOUGHTS and HEARTS be shaped by it!

Today is Valentine’s Day, a day designed for a little intimacy.
Date nights are planned.
Flowers purchased.
Maybe you are one of those where the “KISS will begin with Kay”.

And while I pray that you get a chance to steal away for some candlelit moments with your main squeeze, I thought I would use this morning to encourage you (AND ME) to seek a little INTIMACY with the LORD.

Perhaps the most important thing either of us could do this VALENTINES DAY is to just get away for a second, grab our Bible, and find a little “solitude” (even though you are not alone).

Seek that special place of communion with God.
And as you spent those uninterrupted intimate moments, I am confident you will get to know Him better and discover HIS heart and the plans He has for you for this February 14th.

They are there.
They are.
They may be covered with debris, they may be covered with dust, but they are there. You will find out what they are in those intimate relationship moments with God.

Bayless Conley once remarked that
…”It is in closeness with God that His breath blows the dust off of un-discerned and unrecognized purposes and dreams.”

How bout you let Him do just that…

Draw Him near.
Tune your ears.
Settle your spirit.
Seek His face.

“SEEK MY FACE more and more.
You are really just beginning your journey of intimacy with Me. It is not an easy road, but it is a delightful and privileged way: a treasure hunt. I am the Treasure, and the Glory of My Presence glistens and shimmers along the way. Hardships are part of the journey too. I meter them out ever so carefully, in just the right dosage, with a tenderness you can hardly imagine.
― Sarah Young, Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence

I love you all!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY...
OPPORTUNITIES for HOPE
