LINE IT UP!

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Experienced quite the turn of events yesterday; had the day all mapped out, my schedule planned and then boom!
It made me think of this little verse from Proverbs.
Proverbs 19:21
We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails.
But today’s thought isn’t so much about what transpired with me yesterday as much as it is about the importance of alignment.
What exactly do I mean?
We can make plans for each day, but before we venture out, before we "get to work", we need to check those plans for alignment with that “GOD PURPOSE”.
I mean, we can have all the GMAIL calendars and Franklin planners brimming with meetings and assignments. We can color code them, prioritize them and categorize them, but if they don’t align with “GOD’s color coding scheme" or are in agreement with His priorities, then they likely will “miss the mark”. Or GOD may rearrange them as He did mine yesterday.
You see, much like an chiropractic adjustment can align us for better health, GOD desires for us to align our thoughts and plans for each day with Him for better spiritual health.
John 6:39
This is what my Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son andtrusts who he is and what he does and then aligns with him will enter real life…
But it sure is easy to “get out of alignment” isn’t it?
We get focused on our priorities, our desires, and our plans and often don't give GOD the time of day. We even make decisions that contradict the word of GOD and then wonder why we have consequences; wonder why our days get out of kilter or flipped on their proverbial ear.
But we shouldn’t.
Proverbs 22:3
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
It is pretty simple. Alignment is important.
So here is a little encouragement for today.
Pause right where you are right now. Check your alignment. Does your schedule have time for GOD out the outset? Have you tested your to do list? Is there anything you have planned that "doesn't line up?" If so, adjust.
Trust GOD. Test the plan. And get in alignment.
Psalm 86:11
Teach me YOUR ways, O LORD...
I love you all.
