BODACIOUS BISCUITS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Whew…one more week almost in the books.
Been some ups and downs for you I am sure. Weeks are like that.
But we shouldn't be surprised really.
Ecclesiastes 7:14
On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so that we won’t take anything for granted.
We need to remember GOD doesn’t waste anything.
The good, the bad, even the ugly have had a purpose. And mysteriously enough all of it has been for your good.
Yep! Sure has…
Come on, you know this. You know this little nugget of truth…
Romans 8:28
…we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
I know we can’t always see it. I know the “good” may be “a far off”, but the truth is the truth. Something GOOD is going to come of it. Yes even the bitter and the bad have purpose.
I like this little story shared by Pastor Jack Graham…
I heard a man give a testimony about how God had worked things together for his good in life, both good and bad. He stood up in front of the church and said, “I hate salt!” And then he said, “I hate baking soda and flour too!”
Then he said, “But I love biscuits!”
Salt by itself has a horrible flavor. And if you tried to eat baking soda or flour by themselves, I don’t think you’d find them very tasty. But when you mix these elements together, they can create something that’s better than the sum of its parts. And in the same way, God can take those things in your life that are bad and work them together for your good.”
You see there is profound blessing in those “biscuits” my friends!
Only GOD can take the good and the bad, the bitter and the sweet, the triumphant and tragic and via the amazing prism of the Cross bring clarity, sense and goodness of all things.
It IS all GOOD because it is all GOD.
Psalm 84:11
...the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold No good thing does He withhold!
So if life, if this week, has served up a bunch of tasteless or worse yet, unpalatable ingredients, give them to GOD and step away for a second and remember GOD is about to make you a batch of bodacious biscuits.
Have a great weekend.
I love you all.
