UPTICK

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
I received a desperate text yesterday from a friend who operates at the fringes of recovery; lots of stops and starts. I feel for him daily because I see so much of myself in him. He will do really well for a minute and feel positive about life and recovery but when life doesn’t progress as HE planned or when he perceives his “church and bible” time aren’t quite “paying off”, he often becomes discouraged and quits.
Sadly when he quits, the dope starts. Please pray for my friend L.W.
Maybe you are in this same boat today. Discouraged or confused with GOD and life.
Don’t be. While it may not feel like it, God is always in control taking care of you.
Even thought life has its downturns an uptick is on the horizon! How do I know?
We are the object of God’s persevering grace and that is enough to weather through the discouraging times and the confusion.
2 Corinthians 12:9
…he said, “My grace is all you need.
So even when we can’t see it, even when life doesn’t make sense, or even hurt, we must hold fast to the promise that all of it is being worked out together according to God’s perfect plan for your life!
We know this!
Romans 8:28
We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him.
This is a glorious PROMISE of God’s power and concern for your life.
His GRACE!
GOD’s grace is always actively present in our lives working ALL things together for our good.
Shattered dream? Wait! Grace will bring clarity.
Hopes dashed? Wait! Grace will bring perspective.
The hard truth is life doesn’t make sense.
We can’t always understand it’s dynamics or its ups and downs. And just because it doesn't make sense now, doesn't mean that “it doesn't make sense”. God has a plan and a purpose; always has and always will!
So never forget GOD is constantly working in our life—constructively and creatively—to bring about His purpose and the divine destiny of your life.
Philippians 2:13
…God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
So stay faithful! Life WILL trend upward again!
Stand on the promise of grace. It is all you need.
I love you all.
