BLESSED BEST - JANUARY 2nd

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Give GOD your best and HE will bless it.” Michael English
Happy New Year.
Yes, I know it is January 2nd. But I heard that you have until around the 14th or so to continue to wish a Happy New Year. So I am taking that license today.
Sorry I missed you all yesterday. It was another morning behind the wheel and not the keyboard.
You see New Year’s Eve was spent with my wife this year. We scuttled away just the two of us for a little dinner and some time with Michael in concert. After being on vacation with 7 other family members for 12 days and the chaos that is the holiday rush, we needed a minute away for sure.
So we stepped back in time and went up to Amish country and it was a wonderful evening.
As many of you know, I appreciate Michael as an artist, have for more than 20 years. But more importantly since learning and sharing in his story of recovery, since witnessing first hand his transparency and now getting to know him personally, I have come to appreciate him more and more.
So when he shared this little quote just prior to singing “In Christ Alone” with no track due to a technical issue (which by the way he nailed), I was inspired to share it. He was STILL giving HIS BEST even when the sound equipment wasn’t and IT was blessed!
GOD does ask for our best.
Each and every day He desires for us to give back to Him the best of what He has given us. And He has promised that when we do, when we walk in obedience, when we embrace His Word, when we emulate His actions and instruction HE is quick to BLESS US!
2 Timothy 2:15 (LB)
Work hard so God can say to you, “Well done.” Be a good workman, one who does not need to be ashamed when God examines your work.
It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and then do your best. - W. Edwards Deming
That applies to us.
So let's pause today and pray. Let's seek the WORD of GOD for GOD’s voice. Let's listen carefully and thoughtfully for what HE wants us to do.
Then let's pursue it heartily.
Do it diligently.
Share it generously.
Demonstrate it willingly.
Reflect it gracefully.
Titus 2:7 (LB)
…be an example…of good deeds of every kind. Let everything you do reflect your love of the truth and the fact that you are in dead earnest about it.
And GIVE today and everyday your “BLESSED BEST!”
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I love you all.
Have a wonderful weekend!
