WAIT FOR IT...

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
What are you waiting for today in prayer?
Don't give up. Don’t allow the waiting to become “wearisome”.Don’t let the waiting become worry. It is in waiting that we make room for God. It is the waiting that our faith is strengthened, our trust intensified and our PATIENCE developed.
2 Peter 1:5-9
So don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet; no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus
“No day will pass without ITS REWARD!”
I love this little paragraph from Elizabeth Elliott, professor of theology at Gordon Conwell Seminary…
"The tests of our willingness to wait patiently for the Lord come almost daily for most of us. Waiting requires patience -- a willingness calmly to accept what we have or have not, where we are or where we wish we were, whomever we live or work with. To want what we don't have is impatience and mistrust of God. A spirit of resistance cannot wait on God. It is this spirit which is the reason for some of our greatest sufferings. It is here and now that we must win our victories or suffer defeats. Spiritual victories are won in the quiet acceptance of ordinary events, which are Gods 'bright servants' standing all around it. Peace does not dwell in outward things, but in the heart prepared to wait trustfully and quietly on Him who has all things safely in His hands.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

16 This is the reason we do not give up. Our human body is wearing out. But our spirits are getting stronger every day. 17 The little troubles we suffer now for a short time are making us ready for the great things God is going to give us forever.
Now I realize that waiting, perseverance, patience are some of those “long-suffering ‘CHRISTIANY’ ” words right? The “toughies”?
And I realize we don’t like patience. We don’t have time for waiting! Life is fast, time’s running out, and we’ve got to get this show on the road, right? We have got stuff we want to get done!
But those scriptures sure paint a different plan, those scriptures don’t embrace the “I want what I want when I want it attitude” do they?
Over and over in the WORD, we see the Father making promises to His children, only to have them wait years, sometimes decades, for the promise to be fulfilled. But one thing is certain, the result of that patience is always blessing.
Always blessing!

1 Peter 1:6 (MSG)

I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
So the question today is “Are you willing to wait?”
Maybe you are waiting on word about a job, a doctor’s report, a lead on a home, financing for a project.
Are you anxious and aggravated? Agitated and antsy?
Or are you calm and serene? Is your faith out front or is a SPIRIT of resistance dominating your mindscape?
Wait patiently friends. Persevere.
You will be blessed.
Isaiah 40 (MSG)
…God doesn't come and go. God lasts.
He's Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind.
I love you all
