Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

"Let Them See You" – Colton Dixon
Let them see You in me
Let them hear You when I speak
Let them feel You when I sing
Let them see You, let them see You in me
Let them hear You when I speak
Let them feel You when I sing
Let them see You, let them see You in me
Who am I without Your grace?
Another smile, another face?
Another breath, a grain of sand passing quickly through Your hand?
I'd give my life, an offering take it all, take everything

…if you DO anything, DO EVERYTHING for the GLORY of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 ICB)
I was with a good good friend late last week. We were “doing” some things for the ministries; making plans and assessing our progress. It was then that the topic of “how we measure our success” came up.
In our line of work this is tricky.
In fact when meeting yesterday with the Governor’s faith-based team in Columbus they concurred that measuring successes in the recovery “world” is not an easy task. Results are SO fluid and the folks we are serving struggle to “maintain” traction. So putting your finger on whether a particular intervention or program was “successful” can be a bit of a moving target.
But my friend Amy shed such clarity on the dilemma.
She reminded me that the only thing that we could truly measure was WHAT WE did as individuals.
Did we give our FULL measure to the glory of GOD in the day we were given? She said that when your head hit the pillow if you could say that what you attempted to say and do that day was your best for the glory of GOD, that if others could see Jesus, then that was a “true” measure.
Did you pour out all that you were given out for GOD today should be the question at the end of it.
Did you pour out all that you were given out for GOD today should be the question at the end of it.
The rest of the stuff, recidivism rates, success rates, responses of the folks we serve, the attendance at our programs, etc. was up to GOD. In other words, if our efforts were properly motivated and presented, the FRUIT of the labor would be evident and revealed in GOD’S time and to GOD’S glory.
Stanley says it this way…
“Obey GOD and leave all of the consequences to Him.”
“Obey GOD and leave all of the consequences to Him.”
Therefore, doing everything with GODLY motivation in obedience, being focused on allowing OTHERS to experience CHRIST in what we say to each other and what we do for others is ALL we truly can do.
GOD will take care of the results.
Psalm 37:3 (NIV) - Trust in the LORD and do good…
GOD will take care of the results.
Psalm 37:3 (NIV) - Trust in the LORD and do good…
So today.
Do and say “good”.
Let others SEE Jesus in you.
Give the best you can when you can.
And then TRUST in the LORD for the results.
Do and say “good”.
Let others SEE Jesus in you.
Give the best you can when you can.
And then TRUST in the LORD for the results.
I love you ALL!
