PURE HEART

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Watch Your Thoughts, They Become Words; Watch Your Words, They Become Actions… - Tzu

One could also say that what comes from our words can become active! Our words ACTIVATE:

Fear or faith.

Grumbling or grace.

Tentativeness or thanksgiving.

Barriers or boldness.

And while our MINDS do the formulation of those activating words, as Pastor M.B. eluded yesterday the TRUE source of our speech comes from the HEART.

Matthew 15:18 (NIV)

But the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart…

How is your heart?

Your heart's condition depends on the things you allow into it. These things form your thoughts and attitudes, and ultimately, shape the deepest part of your being; shape even your speech.

They will.

Cultivating FAITH, GRATITUDE, and BOLDNESS will only IMPROVE the condition of your heart and what comes from it.  FEAR, etc. causes nothing but “heart damage".

Wrong things like fear in our hearts left unattended will become deeply rooted and harder to deal with. Therefore keeping a watchful eye on the condition of your heart the better off you are.

Therefore we need to check our hearts a lot more often. 

Because many times, we can go through the motions and keep doing the "Christian thing," all the while things have crept into our hearts and are doing some damage.

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says…

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Note that it doesn't say somebody else has that job, not even GOD will guard your heart. It says you, WE, need to guard our hearts.

Remember, Jesus Himself said…

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  Matthew 5:8 (NIV)

JESUS knew the VALUE of the HEART’S CONDITION!

Want to EXPERIENCE the FULL BREADTH of GOD?

And by simply capturing thoughts for GOD right off the jump through prayer and meditating on HIS WORD will work to FILL your heart for the BEST that GOD has for you today and also will likely EQUIP you for WHAT HE wants you to say today!

So check your heart.
