SPIRIT SURGE

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Tree down? Check.

Lights packed back up? Check.

Returns taken care of? Check.

Nativity bubble-wrapped and secured? Check.

New Year's Eve confetti cleared? Check.

Sigh…

January has settled in.

The cold has certainly settled in. Whoever heard of a ‘bomb cyclone’ anyway?

The snow has settled in.

The year has settled in.

But can I encourage you?

Don’t settle in 2018.

Don’t settle with the same old.

Ignite something new in your spirit while the year is fresh, and the slate is unblemished.

And I am not talking via the typical resolutions that we touched on earlier this week. No what I am encouraging is for you to ignite some new passion for your “relationship”; you’re Jesus relationship.

Intensify it! Speak it! Pray it! Align it!

Take the attitude from ISAIAH…

…the spirit in me wants to be with you at the dawn of every day.

Isaiah 26:9 ERV

It is important to place at the top of that “little resolutions list”, more time with GOD; more ALIGNMENT with the SPIRIT!

And perhaps while you have some momentum add another.

More gratitude in 2018 perhaps?

And while you are on a roll, put more trust, more dependence, more Word, and more surrender on the docket too!

The benefits are extraordinary.

God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 (ERV)

Summing it up, don’t be content to “settle”.

Advance your relationship with Jesus. Start today!

Thank Him, praise Him…you know the rest.

This is the last of the resolution themed OFH for this year, I promise.

I am just praying for a ROBUST start to 2018 for each and everyone of you!  The horizon looks BRIGHT and LOADED with GREAT POTENTIAL!
