DO WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO DO

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

1 John 2:5
But those who do what Christ tells them to will learn to love God more and more. That is the way to know whether or not you are a Christian.

Simple enough right?
Do what Christ tells us to do and that draws us nearer and nearer to GOD.  Do what Christ tells us to do and that in turn allows us to better represent Him as His character is reproduced in us!  Do what Christ tells us to do and look more like a Christian!
Ephesians 5:1-2
Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
Do like Christ.
Love like Christ.
That is a sure fire recipe for today don’t you think?

Yet often we want to complicate things or worse yet our FLESH, SELFISHNESS, AGENDAS and BUSYNESS keep us from these simple commands.
So then what happens? 
We end up not looking much like Christ as we go about our day.

We fail to forgive as CHRIST forgave.
We worry about people pleasing as opposed to being concerned wholly with pleasing GOD.
We love with agendas and ulterior motives as opposed to loving unconditionally.

Yet GOD says “obedience to” and “replication of" CHRIST is the ticket.  Do that and the other things in life will fall into place.  Do that and decisions will become clearer.  Do that and life will change.
So today intentionally...
Ephesians 4:23-24(NLT)
…let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.  Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

So therein lays the “challenge for today”!
Make today a deliberate pursuit. 
Foster today with deliberate obedience.
“Watch what GOD does and then do it!”
