WEATHER-PROOFING

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
With one quick glance at FACEBOOK, a passing check of TWITTER, a peruse of EMAIL and voice messages it is clear that it is STORM SEASON around here.
Babies in critical condition, a dear friend whose heart is so damaged that he can’t sustain his blood pressure, a broken back, child custody battles, discrimination, tests of faith and conviction, relapse, lawsuits…I will stop there…
Like I said, any way you cut it or however you look at it, IT IS STORM SEASON ‘round here!
And while this storm seems to be the toughest on record and may feel relentless and powerful, it is no match for the believer.
Matthew 7:24
24 "Everyone who hears my words and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and hit that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on rock.
“No one gets through life without trials. Realistically, you are either in a storm, just getting out of a one, or about to enter a turbulent time. That is the bad news. Thankfully, we serve a good God who provides beautifully—especially during the dark periods of life.” C. Stanley
So just what is this ROCK, what is this foundation that can withstand the storm?
It is the VERY PRESENCE of GOD ALMIGHTY.
Hebrews 13:5-6
…God has said, “I will never leave you or let you be alone.” 6So we can say for sure, “The Lord is my Helper. I am not afraid of anything…
This is, perhaps, the most important assurance we could ever have because from this awareness, He offers a sense of comfort, courage, and confidence. THIS continual, sustained and steadfast PRESENCE is our “WEATHER-PROOFING” friends!
Never forget, the Lord blesses His children with an anchor in the storm. He is in total control of it and while we may not understand, we can trust His hand to guide us, sustain us and maintain us through it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

The Message (MSG)
13No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it.
Clearly, no one enjoys “the storm”. It’s scary. It usually does some damage. It pushes us to our very limits.
But we must NEVER forget that God's has placed us on HIS ROCK and while the rains may come and winds may blow, the obedient will make it through!

Proverbs 12:3

…life rooted in God stands firm.

I love you all.
