Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“The Presence of the Lord is Here”
We have a couple fellas in our GAP Choir here at AHOP in Xenia that just do a fantastic job on that song from Byron Cage.
And when we are at church or at a meeting we can often make that statement that the “presence of the Lord” is here can’t we?
There is just something about church or being in a worship fellowship that creates that “presency” feel right?
But yesterday I felt the presence of the Lord in a very different place. For confidential reasons I am not going to disclose where it was, but the Lord was clearly there and clearly at work.
Things folks said, doors that were opened, confirmations that were revealed, all validated that GOD was engaged and present in that place.
It’s sure soothing to “feel” GOD...
I am sure that our FUSION Pastors and their family have “felt” GOD in the ICU at Children’s Medical Center these many months as Judah fights on.
Pull across the bridge at the REFUGE farm in the remote hills and dales of McArthur Ohio and the Lord just hovers in the mist.
And I am sure that many of you have had moments when the presence of the Lord was so thick and so tangible you could almost see it or even oddly enough smell it.
That is not out of the question at all.
2 Corinthians 2:14
He speaks through us wherever we go. The Good News is like a sweet smell…
The really simpletruth however is that the presence of the Lord is ALWAYS here, near, there and everywhere 24 x 7.
Psalm 139: 7
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
The trouble is we often tune it out.
But isn’t it reassuring that we don’t have to “go somewhere” to experience or feel GOD. All we need to do is open up and allow Him to envelop us and permeate us.
Therefore here is my encouragement.
Take a moment today and experience and relish in the presence of the Lord.
Look for Him.
Listen for Him.
Invite Him to be a part of things.
“The Presence of the Lord is Here”
Have a blessed weekend.
I love you all.
