SIMPLY TRUST

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Sunday was VBS (Vacation Bible School) Sunday at Valleypoint Church in Glen Mills, Pa. http://valleypointchurch.com/. The kids from Valleypoint had shared all week the simple message of TRUST GOD.
Trouble comes? Trust GOD.
Don’t know what to do? Trust GOD.
Things change? Trust GOD.
I love those simple messages don’t you? They seem especially poignant when they are delivered from the mouths of children don’t they? Jesus thought so.
Jesus understood and valued the unabashed trust that is inherent in children didn’t He?
Mark 10:14-15
He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Yet as adults we often miss the mark on this whole trusting thing don’t we?
Pride has seeped in. Self-reliance has clouded our clarity. Cynicism has dulled our innocence.
But GOD does make it simple.
Trouble comes? Trust ME!
Don’t know what to do? Trust ME!
Things changing? Trust ME!
Doctors confused? Trust ME!
Job jacked up? Trust ME!
Family crisis on the horizon? Trust ME!
Most times simplicity is the most solid counsel we could receive!
It is always important for us to place our trust in the living God and His ORGANIC WORD, especially when life is confusing, unsettling, and out of kilter.
Just look!
Psalm 56:11
...in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
Psalm 62:8
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 86:2
Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God;
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
That settles the Spirit huh?
Maybe today is a day when you need to expose your “inner child”for a minute; put down all that you think you know or understand and simply trust GOD. (I know it is for me)
Have a blessed day.
I love you all.
