Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Your greatest contribution to God’s Kingdom work—and to defeating the Enemy’s efforts against this Kingdom—is to keep up your daily devotions; live a clean, honest, humble, Spirit-filled life; trust God to guard and protect you morally, physically, and spiritually; and openly witness for Jesus Christ. Don’t be a pawn of the devil, but a servant of Christ.”
― Billy Graham, Hope for Each Day Morning and Evening Devotions
Joshua 24:15
…decide today whom you will obey…as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”
The choice really is yours today.
Ask yourself...
Who or what has your attention?
Who or what is going to get your service; your focus?
Billy and GOD are making some BOLD recommendations! Are you willing to listen to their leadership?
The decision is yours to make.
Which will you choose to be today?
Pawn of the devil?
Servant of Christ?
Serving your own self-interests, investing in earthly pursuits or diving deeper into your relationship with GOD and your love for others?
GOD wants the latter!
Luke 10:27
…love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind. And you must love your neighbor just as much as you love yourself.
Which role will you embrace? Pawn or servant?
It is up to you!
Ask yourself (and BE HONEST), are you equipped for those special assignments? Heart and mind prepared? What DID today’s devotion encourage? Have you read it yet?
Take a look at your to do list one more time. Is there an opportunity to serve or love another penciled in? What about some time away for refueling or listening for GOD’s direction and leadership?
How about protection?
Did you remember it is a battle out there?
Have you trusted GOD with those things that could get dicey or challenging? Is there a “big meeting” looming that has you on edge?
Anything on the slate that could be considered "morally" or spiritually questionable? What is your plan?
Today I just want to remind you (and me) to remember “who we serve”.
We are called to be SERVANTS of CHRIST but if not careful it wouldn't take much to drag us over the other side of board and find ourselves being pawns in the enemy’s scheme for the day.
Don't let that happen to you!
Be on guard today! Get equipped!
Stand FIRM in your faith.
Listen to this LEADERSHIP of LOVE!
And SERVE THE LORD!
It will be worth it!
1 Corinthians 15:58
…be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted
Have a great day!
I love you all!
