WEAK SPOT

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

I love little nuggets of wisdom.
I heard two of them yesterday.

One…”You make decisions and then decisions make you.”
That is a good one that applies to my line of work all the time.
Galatians 5:18 (MSG)
Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the
erratic compulsions…

The other little nugget was, “There is a weak spot in every impossibility.”
Isn't that good?

And what is that WEAK SPOT?
The possibility and PROVIDENCE of GOD!
Philippians 1:6 (AMP)
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

We have all faced seemingly impossible things in our lives at one time or another. Some might have been small. “There is no way I will pass this exam” or “This event will never come together”.  And then there are some are “not so small”.

“You have bladder cancer” or “You will never amount to more than a drug addicted violent thief.”

As you might have guessed those last two “impossibilities” are “real” ones, not hypothetical. In fact they were both shared with me less than 24 hours ago.
But those seemingly impossible circumstances have a weak spot.
Almighty GOD.

My no account drug dealing, violent, gang affiliated thief took his first step toward real redemption yesterday morning as he entered the REFUGE ministry.  How he got from jail to Columbus yesterday is a story packed with impossibilities. All which fell to the way side as GOD had a “work to do in him” and it was going to be completed yesterday.

For my dear friend facing the knife on Wednesday, he walks into the cancer surgery so confident, so assured, so “promised”. He knows there is more work for him to do. And last night as he shared the details of the exploratory procedure and how they found the cancer, the night of his 18 month anniversary of sobriety mind you, he never flinched.  He knows that impossible cancers have a weak SPOT…
Luke 1:37 (AMP)
For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

What is your impossible today?
“We forget that IMPOSSIBLE is one of God's favorite words” – Max Lucado

Why?
Because He knows it has a weak spot…

HIM!
Philippians 4:13 (NIRV)
13 I can do everything by the power of Christ...

Love you all
