NEEDS MET

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

I was getting ready early yesterday and Jimmy Evans (http://www.marriagetoday.com/) was sharing a little insight about marriage and he made an interesting statement about “what all of us NEED”.

He commented that we all inherently seek

ACCEPTANCE

IDENDITY

SECURITY

PURPOSE

Got me to thinking about my encouragement for today.

Can I offer you a little acceptance?

…understand that God has not sent his Son into the world to pass sentence upon it, but to save it—through him. John 3:17 (Phillipps)

Therefore GOD has taken all the necessary steps to ACCEPT you unto Him through CHRIST to SAVE you! 

That is complete ACCEPTANCE!

Can I offer a little identity?

(You are) God’s child – for (you are) born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, which lives and abides (you) in forever. (1 Peter 1:23 ESV)

You are GOD’S CHILD and nothing can strip you of that amazing identity!

For good measure let me remind you that (you are)

…a joint heir with Christ. (Romans 8:17 ESV)

Those two things alone should offer us that third inherent need, security.

But let me also point you to this… 

2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)                    

…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God…

We are secure in and through CHRIST!

And lastly we all through GOD have been given purpose.  That old familiar verse affirms that…

11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

So the goal today was to remind you that those inherent identified needs have all been met by the TRUTH of GOD.  Before the sun came up, before your feet hit the floor, GOD has offered, poured into, and covered those “inherent requirements”. 

Our job is to take GOD at His Word and allow those reminders as well as others from the WORD to seep into our SPIRITS and to infiltrate our minds and hearts so that don’t feel lacking for anything.

…scripture is inspired by God and is useful… for re-setting the direction of a man’s life and training… The scriptures are the comprehensive equipment of God and fit…fully (2 Timothy 3:17 – Phillips)

And before we close out the week I will share one last truth.

My God will meet your every need…
