REMEMBER YOUR VICTORY

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“We must realize that it is not Satan who defeats us; it is our openness to him. To perfectly subdue the devil we must walk in the "shelter of the Most High" (Ps. 91:1).” ― Francis Frangipane

Isn’t that good?
Awesome to be a winner right?
Satan can’t defeat us.
Nope.
Period end of story.
1 Corinthians 15:57 (ESV)
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
That should do it.
End of OFH for today!

But hold on…
As Francis eludes, we don’t always walk in that victory or worse yet we often leave ourselves open to attack; put our guards down.

How?

By being “open to” old temptations (this is tough one for me).
By leaving old wounds “open” for bitterness.
Instead of staying focused, serving and vigilant we “open” doors with idleness.
We open ourselves to compromise leaving our hearts and minds exposed ignoring this wisdom
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. – Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)

Thankfully Francis offers a simple remedy.
Seek some shelter!
You can go to God Most High to hide. You can go to God All-Powerful for protection. Psalm 91:1 (ERV)

Want to live in the shelter of the Most High today?
First remember to pray…
“Lead me not into temptation and deliver me from evil…

Then be intentional about:
Filling your mind with the WORD.
Filling your atmospheres with praise.

Be wary of those times of too much quiet or too much chaos. When they surface, focus on the Father and nothing else. Remember the victory.
Be proactive!

Frangipane goes on to say:
“Always remember: Victory begins with the name of Jesus on our lips; but it will not be consummated until the nature of Jesus is in our hearts. It is not enough to have your "house ... swept, and put in order" (Matt. 12:44); your thought-life must be occupied by the Person of Christ. But as you persist in yielding yourself to Christ, He will remove Satan... ― Francis Frangipane

So guard your heart.
If you start to feel tempted or rickety speak the name of Jesus.
And grab that victory!

“Take God at His Word – because winning the battle doesn't require
physical brawn, but spiritual brains!” ― Pedro Okoro

I love you all
