ADVENTURE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

As you love God and serve Him, you will undoubtedly experience the greatest adventure life has to offer. - Bill Bright

Most of you are old enough to remember the Steven Curtis Chapman song, “The Great Adventure” right?  I pray that I am not THAT dusty…

But Steven encouraged us to “saddle up our horses for the great adventure”; the great adventure that comes with following, loving and serving Christ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVFPjIp6nkk

Whenever I speak to the folks I serve who can only remember their church/Jesus experience as dry, boring sermons and droning funeral like hymn singing, I encourage them to join me and experience a different kind of Jesus, a different kind of adventure than what they remember.
For:
This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”
Romans 8:15 (MSG)

It is true!
Bright is right!
As you love and SERVE GOD, your life will be energized!

So if life has become boring or you are feeling stagnant or dry, seek to serve!
Show GOD a little affection by showing some to someone else!
“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.”  Augustine of Hippo

It will change the tenor of your day; your week!
When the eyes of another light up it blesses you, it invigorates!
...we are to be kind to others, and God will bless us for it.
– 1 Peter 3:9 (LB)

So step out of the comfortable and the mundane today.
Show a little kindness.
Do something random to express Jesus to another.
Take a chance.
Trust GOD to provide the opportunity and brazenly stride into it!
It is a good day for the doldrums to end and for the adventure to begin!!
No more grave-tending!
No more timidity!
Saddle up it is time for today’s adventure!

“We are made in the image of God; we carry within us the desire for our true life of intimacy and ADVENTURE. – Eldredge

Let's engage it!

Love you all…
