WHATCHA DOIN?

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Pastor Mark got me to thinking yesterday while he was sharing.
He referenced this little passage from Matthew.
Matthew 6:14
In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do.
He was emphasizing the connection between GOD and us that is created in prayer. But as I was looking at the screen, this came to mind for me.
GOD ISinterested in “what we do”.
In fact GOD responds to “what we do.”
Psalm 128:1-3
Great blessings belong to those who fear and respect the Lord and live the way he wants. You will get what you work for.
You will enjoy the Lord’s blessings, and all will go well for you.
Simply put "what we do" matters to GOD.
He wants us to do our best.
He wants us to be obedient.
He wants us healthily engaged.
He wants us involved and doing His work.
Even Jesus understood the importance of "what He was doing". Remember when He was “lost” from His parents early on in His life? Remember when they found Him, what was He doing?
Luke 2:49
And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
Jesus understood the importance of alignment between what He was doing and what GOD was doing! We should seek the same alignment!
John 6:40
This is what my Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son andtrusts who he is and what he does and then aligns with him will enter real life, eternal life. But let’s be honest there are times in our lives where “what we are doing” in no way reflects “what GOD is doing” right?
We get out of frame. Our activities don’t honor GOD. Our decisions don’t reflect Jesus.
You get what I am saying right?
Yet we are created to honor GOD in “what we do”.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I don’t know what you had planned for today. But take just a second and give that “to DO”list the once over. Does the task list honor GOD? Will there be a connection betweenwhat God does and what you do?
Or do you need to make an adjustment or two?
Have a great day!
I love you all.
