YOU CAN COME BACK

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
There she was in my office early yesterday afternoon; 21, sick, shaky, eyes red and swollen from the tears. The detox was in full swing. 4 days off the heroin feels like the worst flu in the worst winter in the worst year of your life.
She was hopeless. “They”had taken her children. Her choices and her addiction led her to the TREE. Every door was closing; every family member had been leveraged and taken advantage of.
Too many lies. Too many blackouts. Too many mistakes.
And now it had all come crashing down at once.
Pray for my new friend. OUR options are limited, but praise GOD HIS AREN’T.
Ephesians 3:20
With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.
I am praying that yesterday is just one more step on the “road back” for this little girl. Her potential is still there dormant and waiting to blossom. Her hope and future is still lurking in the shadow of her addicted mind and body desperate to emerge!
Jeremiah 29:11
This message is from the Lord. “I have good plans for you.”
This little girl isn’t alone. We all have had moments and times where we too have drifted away. Perhaps ours wasn’t as severe, but we all have had moments where we wandered off. The Bible confirms that!
Isaiah 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone the wrong way. Each of us has turned to his own way.
Yet no matter how far you’ve gone in the wrong direction, when you turn around God always welcomes you back. Remember our scripture from yesterday?
Zechariah 1:3
The Lord of All says, “Return to Me, that I may return to you."
I know it seems impossible for my 21 years old heroin addict, but God is always steady and ready to welcome us back. His arms are open, and his promises are sure. He will transform our worst failures into a blessed future, if we will just ask!
Isaiah 58:11
…I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places— firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
Be thankful today that there is always that HOPE; for my challenged addict and for US as well!
Never forget!
God is gracious and will forgive you no matter what you’ve done or failed to do. He will turn our past around and create a new life . . . a life of hope, peace, and an ongoing relationship with Him. All it takes is getting back to the basics. Seek Him and He will take care of the rest!
Matthew 6:33
…seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you…
What is that I hear in the distance?
Oh yes!
A turnaround!
I love you all!
