ABUNDANT FREEDOM

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Not sure what you did yesterday.  It was Independence Day.

Cookout?

Maybe you fired a few fireworks between the raindrops here in OHIO?

I pray you hadn’t planned on watching the REDS go for a sweep of the GIANTS only to have it postponed.

Eat too much?  Play a little too hard?

I played golf with three of my good friends in the rain and while I won’t make Tiger nervous anytime soon, I had a wonderful time.  Then it was to my aunt’s for burgers and dogs and homemade ice cream.

GOOD day.

A FREE day.

Do you ever pause to realize just how FREE we truly are?

Most of us have freedom to choose, freedom to fellowship, freedom to connect with others, freedom to roam with no checkpoints or curfews.

It is easy to forget that some don’t.  Some are bound by strict governments and oppressive tyrannies.  So are thrown in prisons when they attempt to exercise their GOD granted freedoms.

But GOD has called us to FREEDOM!  We should daily thank Him for that don’t you think?  We should just reserve our 4th of July to understand the true measure of what it has taken to allow us to enjoy days like yesterday.  Sacrifice, loss and pain were all endured for us both from a country and a spiritual perspective!

2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

I know yesterday we honored those who gave their fullest measure to protect and advance our FREEDOM.  But today, pause and thank the one whose truth has brought an EVERLASTING FREEDOM…

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

…and the One whose sacrifice has offered ABUNDANT FREEDOM!

Ephesians 1:7

Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either; abundantly free!

There is nothing like “being FREE”.

Have a blessed and safe weekend

I love you all…
