RESOLUTION SOLUTION

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Resolutions.
Statistics say they don’t usually have much staying power. If I recall my buddy and colleague Josh Robinson in a New Year’s sermon some time ago broke down their fail-rates. Suffice it to say, resolutions are easily started, but rarely sustained.
That is why we can’t subject our walk with Christ or our desire to grow closer to GOD to “the resolution solution”. Rather, we must take those types of changes more seriously! We must look to GOD for a way to turn our good intentions into GODLY transformations.
Ephesians 5:17Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to.
The Lord wants us to look to Him for the areas in our lives that need the most changing. Losing weight and exercise are fine, but real change, real transformation is an inside out proposition; change that ONLY HE can help us make!
Remember, our heavenly Father sees who we really are, so He targets those areas in our life that truly need resolution! GOD knows intimately those areas that NEED change and growth! He knows things like pride, jealousy, anger, and un-forgiveness need to be dealt with so that His divine love and truth will flow through us to others!
That should be our focus! Those should be our "resolutions".
Ephesians 4:31-32
Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ.
To experience real change we have to be open to GOD’s path and direction. We have to heed good instruction like those provided by Paul to the folks in his letter to the Ephesians.
Never forget, the Lord desires what is good for us and will do what is needed to bring transformation in our thought life, attitudes, actions, and priorities. In fact He is already hard at work doing just that!
Philippians 1:6
There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
So while you are making those resolutions, remember GOD is ready to make some lasting change in you.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (V)
…so we are being transformed, metamorphosed, into His same image from one radiance of glory to another, just as the Spirit of the Lord accomplishes it.
Let's resolve to let Him!
Have a blessed weekend!
I love you all!
