DIFFERENCE MAKERS

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“We are trying to be difference makers”, she remarked.

She then tried to quote a little nugget of inspiration from that deeply revered philosopher, Willie Wonka. (Gene Wilder version, not creepy Johnny Depp version).

She didn’t quite have it, but thanks to my good friend GOOGLE, I tracked it down from IMBD.

What she wanted to say was,

“We are the music makers... and we are the dreamers of dreams…”

Now why was my friend waxing poetic in the middle of the day?

We were at the Jewish Community Center in Bexley yesterday and my friend, one of Attorney General Dewine’s staff was sharing her heart and casting vision for a group of folks concerned about the OPIATE epidemic in their county and our state.

And she emerged from a long morning of passionately sharing the challenge and inspiring change excited about being DIFFERENCE makers. She then, I believe a little from exhaustion, turned to Mr. Wonka to bring her point home.

But what a thought indeed.

A thought for all of us today.

Are you willing to be a music maker for the Kingdom today?

What about allowing GOD to inspire you to DREAM a DREAM for Him?

The Lord has POURED out HIS SPIRIT on HIS people just for that sort of thing you know!

I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men (women too) will dream dreams....

So we are music makers.

We are dreamers.

And WE CAN make a difference in our world today.

GOD has not only equipped you with music, vision and dreams, through His spirit we can inspire others to discover HIM!  Through His Spirit working in and through us we can change courses, overcome challenges, offer comfort, compassion, change and opportunities!

We can be DIFFERENCE MAKERS!

Our job is to EMBRACE the prospect!

Don’t tell yourself I can’t do it!

Yes you can.

You might be the Christian God has chosen for SUCH A TIME as today!

Why not you who influences?

Why not you whose music and dreams inspires someone else?

Why not you who has the RIGHT Word for today?

There are so many ways you can make a change in the world. Just doing something can do a lot.
