SCOTT'S STORY

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Deuteronomy 28 (LB)
If you fully obey... the Lord your God...God will transform you…

These are the blessings that will come upon you:
Blessings in the city,
Blessings in the field;
Many children...Blessings when you come in,
Blessings when you go out.

Some new kids have been added to his fold.
He is now blessed in his home city and he was sharing that blessing with others in it as well.
His attitude and presence are infectious "coming in or going out of the room(s)".
It is clear to everyone who knows him that GOD is up to something in his life.
A spirit that was left dormant for a few years due to addiction is being gloriously restored and resurrected and what is emerging is a confident, courageous and GOD-honoring agent for change!

I am always amazed when GOD’S Word comes to life in testimony.

I love the stories.  (Right Bekah?)

My friend Scott who shared with a little gathering at FREEDOM CHURCH last night is a good story.
He not only is a living example of the TRUTH and PROMISE of Deuteronomy 28 but also a living and breathing example of this passage as well.

Galatians 5:22-23 (MSG)
…what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

Scott’s life is an exuberant life!
Scott is serene and a deeply affectionate person. His exterior would say otherwise, but his HEART does the talking for him.
He is compassionate and steadfast.

And like I said, I am always amazed when the Holy Spirit sends me a story to remind me of these little passages.  I am always inspired watching someone live them out.
It is such confirmation for me.

It should be for you as well.
For when we are OBEDIENT and WALK hand in hand with GOD He does what He promises He will do.  Scott is proof.
He restores. (Just ask his momma, who with tears in her eyes couldn’t thank FREEDOM enough for being a part of Scott’s change!)

He reconciles.
He favors.
He blesses.

Makes you wonder why we would ever consider doing anything else.

But we do don’t we?
We go off on our own from time to time and wonder why things “don’t seem quite right”.

So today the encouragement is a pretty simple one.
Let’s learn from SCOTT who made the decision to turn from his addiction and back to the LORD and walk in obedience.
Let’s too trust same LORD Scott accepted when He was 11 years old and walk in obedience with Him.
Let’s do as Scott has chosen to do and let GOD marshal our energies for GOOD; for GOD and others!
Let’s follow Scott's lead and make a decision to OBEY today.

Will you make that choice?
How many momentous events in Scripture depended on one person's seemingly small act of obedience! Rest assured: Do what God tells you to do now… – Elliott…

I love you ALL!
