15:58 MARCHING ORDERS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Don’t let anything change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord. You know that your work in the Lord is never wasted.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (ERV)

This was one of the closing remarks shared at yesterday’s 7:14 Solemn Assembly on the steps of the Ohio State House.  What is a 7:14 Solemn Assembly you ask?  It is an effort coordinated by a couple of passionate and INVOLVED Ohio Pastors, Tim Throckmorton and J.C. Church.  And yes, that is his real name. ðŸ˜‰

Tim along with a whole lot of other things is an integral part of Citizens for Community Values and the Family Research Council as is J.C.  Both are intense advocates for Christian values and both work diligently to be the voice of faith-based values in both OHIO and the NATION!

And so, this was the third year when they assembled diverse group Pastors and leaders from all over the State to come together to pray for and over the issues facing us.  Issues like the unborn, our children, our courts, churches, and leaders.  They asked me to lift a prayer for the addicted, their families and those being deeply impacted by the epidemic.

It was such an honor.

First, the weather was beautiful and the panelist I served with are all amazing people of faith and action.  It was my second opportunity to pray and without question while invigorating, it is and was a deeply humbling and moving experience.
One I will cherish for years.

An what makes these opportunities inspiring are the leaders.
They are insightful men and women of GOD and after 90 minutes of prayer from folks from all backgrounds, even a Hispanic prayer, Tim’s reference of Paul’s closer to the Corinthians was JUST PERFECT.

And I thought it a “GOOD THOUGHT” for us today.

1.   Stand STRONG today.  Your adversary, Satan, is no match for you today.  Resist him. He will flee.  If you are facing pressures or challenges, stand strong!
GOD has equipped you for today with courage, strength, and power.  Don’t wilt! You are already a winner! Believe it! Embrace it and act like it!

2.   Be undaunted! James 1:12 (ESV) Blessed is the ONE who remains steadfast under trial, for when THEY HAVE stood the test THEY will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

3.   Give today’s WORK fully unto the LORD!
Colossians 3:17 (AMP)
Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Some good “marching orders” an “action plan” for today don’t you think?  If followed they will pay off!

Let’s pray:
“Lord, bless the works of my hands. Let my name be associated with good things. Shield me from persecution and false accusations; guard me against greed, discouragement, and sabotage. I welcome opportunities to grow and mature. Let my actions be in sync with Your will. In Jesus’s name, amen.” ― Cindy Trimm

Have a BLESSED day!
I love you all!
