THICK OR THIN

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. 1 Peter 3:14 (MSG)
I like this little Peterson paraphrased nugget.
Whether things are good or whether things aren’t so much, keep you’re heart at attention adoring Jesus.
It is easy to praise GOD when things are "thick", when life is moving along swimmingly and blessing seems to be common place. But what about when life gets a little out of alignment, when things sour, when things thin?
Are we able to maintain that adoring attention?
Do we still approach Him with praise in our hearts?
We used to sing a little Hezekiah Walker song called “Souled Out” that had a little bridge line that said:
“My heart is fixed, my mind’s made up”.
The question is it?
Can we consistently say like the Psalmist…
My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident...
Psalm 57:7 (NLT)
Or when things go a little south does our confidence wane?
Whether today is a thick day or thin day, I encourage you to pause and fix your attention on the Lord!
When you focus on how wonderful God is and all the great things He's done... is doing... and even will do in your life, your natural response will be praise, adoration and awe. Don't let yourself ever get used to it... stay amazed! - Joyce Meyer
Let’s commit today to never get used to the staggering yet welcoming presence of GOD.
Let’s commit today to being in awe and adoration of our FATHER who loves us with an everlasting love and who cares for us so deeply that He knows every possible thing about us all the way down the cellular level.
Let’s commit today to not allowing our circumstances to dictate our awe.
“You see, God hasn’t promised you a good job or great kids. He hasn’t promised you an easy marriage and a comfortable place to live. He hasn’t promised you physical health and a good church to attend. He hasn’t promised that you would experience affluence and be surrounded by things that entertain you. What he has promised is that he will complete the work that he has begun in you.”― Paul David Tripp
So trust Him with today; thick or thin.
Adore Him today; thick or thin.
Stay fixed; mind, heart, soul and spirit.
AND
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in heaven. Ephesians 1:3 (ERV)

I love you all!
Be blessed!
