Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Trusting God completely means having faith that He knows what is best for your life. You expect Him to keep His promises, help you with problems, and do the impossible when necessary.” ― Rick Warren
Easy to say… but hard to do.
Easy to offer as advice…but hard to demonstrate.
Uncertainties and seemingly unanswerable questions dot our lives.
Circumstances and problems that seem to have no resolution or solution bombard us relentlessly. These types of things cause more trepidation than promote trust.
So much so that they can make little lyrics like…
“Tis so SWEET to TRUST in JESUS, just to take HIM at HIS Word, Just to rest upon HIS promise, Just to know thus saith the LORD”…
…seem trite.
But the simple truth is we can TRUST GOD.
Why?
He is deeply invested in you and me.
He is up with us right now.
He is in the cubicle.
He rode to the job site in the truck with you,
He is right there in the classroom.
There is no need for TREPIDATION.
Now is the time for trust.
So…
...Stay focused; do not lose sight of mercy and truth; engrave them on a pendant, and hang it around your neck; meditate on them so they are written upon your heart. (Proverbs 3:1 MSG)
In others words, always trust.
Always.
“Trust is writing your name on the bottom of a blank sheet of paper and handling it to the Lord for Him to fill in” (from Renner)
Ready for that today?
Trust is saying…
Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go. – Psalm 16:7 (MSG)
Trust is believing…
…blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone (Jeremiah 17:7 (V)
So a simple message today.
Very easy for me to say.
Harder for me to do.
Question is will we?
Will we trust?
“May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.” ― Teresa of Ávila
Time to trust
I love you all!
