YOUR THOUGHTS?

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Two types of voices command your attention today. Negative ones fill your mind with doubt, bitterness, and fear. Positive ones purvey hope and strength. Which one will you choose to heed?"
You have a choice, you know.
2 Corinthians 10:5
…capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.
Ever struggle with your thoughts; the little voices?
I know it is a silly question or at least one with a very obvious answer.
We ALL struggle with our thoughts.
I battle mine almost on the minute.
Selfish thoughts, lustful thoughts, bitter thoughts, and frustrated thoughts doing their dead-level best to elbow out the good thoughts, the pure thoughts, the positive thoughts and the Christ-like thoughts.
Our minds ARE battlefields. Books have been written, seminars given and sermons have been preached on the war between the ears.
And maybe you are like me and sometimes feel like “my mind has a MIND OF ITS OWN”. It wanders when it should be attentive, it leers when it shouldn’t be leering, and it drifts when it should be focused.
But Paul makes it clear. What “goes on” in that gray matter up top is “up to us”.
We do have the power to reign in our rebellious thoughts. We have the power to corral the lustful leers and bitter the bytes of information. We CAN fixate and focus when needed.
“take every thought captive” he says. But it sure isn't easy is it?
But like GOD does, GOD doesn't stop with just what our "reaction" should be. He always takes the extra step.
He also gives direction as to what our THOUGHTS SHOULD be.
Philippians 4:8
Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.
So what choice will you make today with your thoughts?
Will you let the positive voices create positive thoughts and choices? Or is another week of “your mind NOT minding” and negativity running amok?
Remember the choice is yours.
I love you all!
