MAKE YOU SAY "WHEW"...

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Lamentations 3:22-25
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.
“Whew…!”
GOOD VERSE to start today. Any day for that matter.
I know I needed it. How about you?
Let me ask, how’d your day go yesterday? Hit on all cylinders? Make all the right choices? Smooth sailing?
Or was there a hiccup or two along the way? Did a distraction or a little selfish thought or action creep into what was for the most part a “pretty obedient” Wednesday? Or did things really get away from you and you spent a little time in the dark or have your emotions, fear or sin get the best of you?
Either way, regardless of how "Wednesday went”, I know I appreciate those promises from Lamentations; the promise that I woke up today to a fresh portion of mercy and a clean sheet of grace and possibilities. I know I am thankful that GOD offers to be good to me, the sinner, who seeks Him each day. Otherwise those days when the “sin wins” or when the multiple stumbles result in a “fall”, would be a little more than I could swallow I am afraid.
That is why I am so deeply grateful for the mercy of the LORD; grateful that the door to His grace always remains open, BLESSED that all GOD asks is for me to get back to “depending and searching”; to return to Him and His mercy will be waiting.
Joel 2:13
Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful…
And while the Lord’s mercy is not a “get out of jail free” card by any means, nor grant me or you the license to KEEP SINNING or REMAIN in our disobedient patterns…
Romans 6:1-2
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
…His forgiveness is infinite.
Isaiah 43:25
25 “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.
GOD is a loving Father and as such He disciplines His children. He will show us and convict our hearts as where we have gone wrong and offer the avenue to correct our actions and return to the path of righteousness. We just need to go to Him.
James 4:8,10
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts…Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
The unfortunate truth is that sometimes we will make mistakes and fall into sinful patterns from which we must be restored. We are human after all. But we can’t stay there!
We must repent and return to our Father who is pleased to draw us back into a right relationship because His grace in infinite; His mercy new and His faithfulness unquestionable! And because of those truths we can walk in the assurance that no sin will ever be greater—or more frequent—than His capacity to forgive.
2 Corinthians 12:9
But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need.
I don’t know about you but that makes me say, “Whew”…
Be blessed today!
I love you all!
