DON'T WASTE YOUR WATER

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Stop watering things that were never meant to grow in your life. Water what works, what's good, what's right. Stop playing around with those dead bones and stuff you can't fix, its over...leave it alone! You're coming into a season of greatness. If you water what's alive and divine, you will see harvest like you've never seen before. Stop wasting water on dead issues, dead relationships, dead people, a dead past. No matter how much you water concrete, you can't grow a garden. - T. D. Jakes

Day 4 here in TEXAS.

As many who have been reading this for a minute know, I spent a ton of time on the road in a previous life.  And while those trips took me to some hot spots like Phoenix and Vegas, I will quickly put TEXAS in July into the category of HOT!!!

But that aside, how about THAT quote from another TEXAS titan, TD?

And while a little hard hitting, there is some SOLID truth in there as we embark on another day.  So, like we are doing this week from the Lonestar state, let’s unpack this a little.

“Water what works”.
May we never tire of doing what is good and right before our Lord because in His season we shall bring in a great harvest - Galatians 6:9 (V)

I love how Jake’s just before and after he shares this simple instruction, he also offers a word of correction. Don’t WATER what doesn’t.
Don’t waste time or energy on “the dead stuff”.

Therefore, how SHOULD we spend our time, what should we water?
Simple enough, on those things which can help us to grow.

Doing GOOD.
Time with GOD.
Staying forward. - As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance - 1 Peter 1:14 (ESV)

It is very easy to dragged down each day by things that WILL never grow or change or advance us.  Instead they cause us to waste time and efforts.

TD while a little in your face this morning, is right on target.

Let’s focus our “WATER on what WORKS”!
Let’s leave the PAST in the PAST and the DEAD buried!
Let’s find the “good ground” in our lives and water there and avoid the concrete!
Let's - Live well, live WISELY, live humbly – James 3:13 (MSG)

Don't waste your water.

Have a blessed day.
I love you all.
