Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
If peace seems elusive in your life today, commit yourself to God, commit your concerns to Him in prayer, and then rest peacefully as you trust in Him. – Dr. David Jeremiah
3 short and simple steps for peace today my friends. A brief but practical OFH to start the day!
· Commit yourself and “your stuff” to GOD today!
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. – James 4:8 (ESV)
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. - Psalm 25:4 ESV
And then commit to following HIS lead!
· Time to pray!
Give all of today’s concerns to HIM. He is more than able to help, manage, guide, and carry you in them and through them!
Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you. - 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)
· Rest in HIM.
When we trust we can operate in rest!
If there be anything that can render the soul calm, dissipate its scruples and dispel its fears, sweeten its sufferings by the anointing of love, impart strength to all its actions, and spread abroad the joy of the Holy Spirit in its countenance and words, it is this simple and childlike repose in the arms of God. - GORDON
In other words, trust GOD enough today to rest and repose in HIS arms, in HIS providence and in HIS care.
Take these three little steps out of the gate today and peace will make an appearance. And it won’t be temporary nor will it be flimsy.
NO, it will be PROMISED peace.
(the) peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:7 (NIV)
So why SEEK peace today?
Well at my house my lovely wife is making her “final” presentation to solidify her doctoral dissertation. So, we are headed to Columbus here in a few minutes and some PEACE is needed!
But I know many of you are dealing with conflicts and challenges.
Circumstances are doing their best to infect your peace, to create anxiety and chaos.
That is why I want to ENCOURAGE you to take these 3 little steps today.
· Commit the day and circumstances to GOD.
· Commit to starting and remaining in prayer and connection with GOD today.
· Commit to rest; cast those cares and allow the PEACE of GOD to envelope and shroud you!
And have a peace-filled day!
I love you all.
