SO SHARE

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Jesus reminds:

I call you to lose yourself in love for others…become My hand of love stretched out to heal the brokenness of others.

For you have received My love and drank deeply from the cup of mercy that I gave to you—now give this cup to the thirsty. Become the one known for love, joy, and peace—a true expression of who I am. For you will be My hand of love.

There is a LOT in those 2 little sentences. 

A LOT for us to consider as we embark on another day, another week!

Jesus says, “Lose yourself in love for others”

John 13:34 (ESV)…love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Then He says be a giving HAND of love that is open to helping another to heal, to get up, to move on, to be better, & to get back on track.  Why? Because He values that sort of thing and will supremely reward it!

Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you.”

Luke 6:38 (LB)

But what I really want you to laser in on today is that second sentence.  We as BELIEVERS have ALREADY received the LOVE of the FATHER and the bounty of HIS mercy and HE asks, dare I say implores us, to SHARE both!  Share love and share mercy to those who are in desperate need of BOTH!

And what I like about this little encouragement from Paul as interpreted by Simmons and his team in this Passion Translation, is that WHEN we DO these things, we will become KNOWN as peacekeepers, as humanity lovers, as those who bring JOY in place of the challenges and sorrows.

And I don’t know about you, but I like the thought of being thought of being noted and remembered for spreading and sharing love, mercy, joy, peace, healing, and possibility! Lord knows for a long time as my Pastor eluded yesterday, I was noted and remember for ‘some not so great’ things for a very long time. 😊

Yet if we embrace loving, giving, and sharing we can be known as Isaiah 58 says,

as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.

That sounds good to me. 

And it all starts simply with LOVING other folks and becoming the extended hand to the broken.

Therefore, in closing I will again share this little quote Maraboli as it cements today’s morning message: 

When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too…

...Remembering that your cup has been filled for a purpose and that is to share!

So, share!
