A HALT to HOARDING

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
I am not a big reality TV dude. Now from what I gather, my partner in ministry Jillian R. has a bit of a love affair with the reality lineup, but for me, it is exactly that…a little too real. But I guess there is a little show about folks who suffer from the compulsion of hoarding. They have houses, barns, and yards full of “stuff”. Old papers, stuffed animals, you name it. They KEEP everything they receive.
Did you know that many of us treat our blessings the same way? GOD grants us some favor and we hoard it; pull it into the basement so to speak and keep it all to ourselves. Yet GOD encourages us to take a different path, a different tact when it comes to our blessings.
You see, God’s blessings to us are not meant to end with us. His desire is that they filter down to others.
2 Corinthians 9:8
…God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done.
Now, that’s a verse to claim as your own! GOD’s telling you that you have been blessed and prepared that you are ready for anything and anyone that may come your way.
Friend needs a hand up? Guess who likely has the hand to give? YOU!
Friend needs a shoulder to lean on? Guess whose shoulder is empty? YOURS!
Friend need a dollar for a McDouble? Guess who perhaps needs to take that order? YOU
1 Peter 3:9-11
…bless—that's your job, to bless. You'll be a blessing and also get a blessing. Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here's what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you're worth. God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he's asked…
A hoarded blessing is never enjoyed as richly as a shared one. Using your gifts, your countenance, and yes even you’re PROVISION, glorify God and demonstrates His grace at work in your life. Don’t let GOD’s generosity stay stashed in the basement and end with you.
Pass them on and discover the joy of a never-ending cycle of blessings.
Have a blessed weekend! (See that wasn’t so hard now was it?J)
I love you all.
