CERTAIN HOPE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Aren’t you thankful for “hope”?

What helps you weather a tough time in your life?
Hope.

What provides a light at the end of a dark tunnel of challenge?
Hope.

What convinces us that things won’t be this way forever?
Hope.
Where would we be without it?

It is one of the “big three” don’t you know…

1 Corinthians 13
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But we all face times and trials in our lives when it appears there is NO HOPE.

I am down on the front row with a tearful young lady after service yesterday.  The mistakes were piling up.  Her heart was heavy.  She was hurting; genuinely hurting.  Her pain was bigger than guilt and shame, her pain stemmed from a perceived lack of hope.
What a blessing it was to share the truth.
For let’s be honest for a second.  Life devoid of hope is dark, desolate and frankly scary and cold and we have all been there once or twice haven’t we?  Times when we feel GOD has taken a nap or the circumstances and consequences are so heinous that there is no way we can recover.

Yet there is always hope.
It was birthed at an empty tomb and flows through us by the power of the Spirit.
Our hope is in Him, always.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope in God is essential. Without this spiritually centered hope, there is desperation. Without hope, there is pessimism. Without hope, there is no peace. On the contrary, with hope in God there is certainty! With hope in GOD there is excitement about the future. With hope in GOD there is a glorious eternity waiting. Hope, as described in the New Testament, means “It is a certainty!” not “I hope so.”
What could possibly be a better source of hope than this truth of God?

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Job 11:13-20
[ Reach Out to God ] "Still, if you set your heart on God and reach out to him, If you scrub your hands of sin and refuse to entertain evil in your home, You'll be able to face the world unashamed and keep a firm grip on life, guiltless and fearless. You'll forget your troubles; they'll be like old, faded photographs. Your world will be washed in sunshine, every shadow dispersed by dayspring. Full of hope, you'll relax, confident again; you'll look around, sit back, and take it easy. Expansive, without a care in the world…

So if you are like my new friend feeling void of hope, pause and return to the truth.
Our hope is continual.  Our hope is a certainty.

I love you all.

Have a blessed day.
