PURE POPPYCOCK

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“No one understands”.
“I can’t help it.” “I wish I could do better, but GOD doesn’t want me to succeed”. “No one wants to help”.
POPPYCOCK!
Sorry for the silly exclamation, but it is true. Those statements, those “pity-seeking”attitudes and thoughts are just that, POPPYCOCK!
Did we forget that we are more than conquerors?
Romans 8:37-39
…we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Yesterday was a day filled with tales of victimization.
“My family quit on me”. “I have tried and tried, but there is no hope for someone like me.” “I can’t win”.
POPPYCOCK!
I understand that there are times when life treats us unfairly, times where our own selfishness or poor choices alienate those around us and leave us reeling and alone and we shrink to self-pity, give in to a "why-even-try" kind of mentality, or worse yet sink into depression or relapse.
Yet it is in those times that we must ignore the “way we feel” and instead go back to “what is true”. Those in Christ Jesus are NOT VICTIMS, we are VICTORS!
Psalm 20:6
Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
It is easy when life is unfair or when our choices have led to some pretty crummy consequences to shrink into defeat and to embrace our inner victim.
It takes courage and wisdom to maintain a healthy attitude when life isn't fair. But we can!
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified…for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
When we derail our lives or when life derails us, we must remember this important truth! We must remember that GOD is always prepared and willing to take up our cause and rescue and restore us, as he has promised. We can't change the fact that we live in an imperfect world, where things aren't as they should be. We can’t change the fact that our poor choices of the past have left us in some dicey situations in our present.
But we can always turn these matters over to God and HE and HE ALONE has the direction and counsel that can change our response to these issues and allow us to reset and re-focus on the VICTORY we have in Him rather than playing the victim.

Have a blessed and victorious day.
I love you all.
