FALLIBLE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
We all are fallible aren’t we? Come on admit it. No room for pride and arrogance this morning.
If we are honest with ourselves we know our weak points, we can pinpoint the blemishes in the mirror. We all have some scars and all have a wart or two I am sure. I know I do. There are some days I could bathe in COMPOUND W the warts are so pronounced.
That is why I so loved one the points Pastor made yesterday in his talk.
“Love calls us to forgive one another because we all are fallible.”
That is so true.
Yet isn’t it amazing how often we will quickly overlook our faults as we seek to find those in another?
Oh we will give it the “half-hearted” treatment from time to time.
“I’m not saying I am perfect, but if you knew what they did you would agree THAT was much much worse.”
Or we ignore our own role altogether and immediately play the “blame game”.
Come on I am not the only one.
I know it is easier to find the fault in others than it is to OWN our “flaws”; it is easier to deflect the conflict to the part played by someone else than it is to accept the blow ourselves.
But GOD calls us to be INTROSPECTIVE and not deflective; to be forgiving and forgetful.
1 Corinthians 13:
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others…
Perhaps you woke up this morning with a garrison of grudges or armed with some bullets of bitterness.
Before you “go off”, pause. Pray and remember. We have been forgiven much.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Perhaps we should offer that same forgiveness? GOD believes we should...
Galatians 6:1-2
Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out.
Have a blessed day.
I love you all!
